As a marker of our commitment to quality, we only employ interpreters with at least a Level 3 Community Interpreting qualification wherever possible. Our interpreters are ‘Enhanced DBS-checked’ and we can provide specialists with experience in every field of public service and charity work.

Face to face interpreting

Face-to-face interpreting remains the most effective service type for many customers due to the benefits of in-person communication. In some cases, for example with mental health patients, it may be that an initial face-to-face meeting is held to build trust and confidence before moving to a remote service.

Video interpreting

Our video interpreting platform is secure, flexible and efficient, allowing for the best possible alternative to face-to-face appointments. The tls VISTA management system also allows customers to use their own videoconferencing software for on-demand or scheduled interpreting sessions including Teams, Skype and Attend Anywhere, so they feel 100% comfortable with the technology being used.

Telephone interpreting

tls’ telephone interpreting solution is unique in that we use personal call operatives to connect every single call. This facilitates the allocation process for customers as they can clearly outline all requirements to tls staff who can then quickly source a suitable linguist. Our approach to telephone interpreting means we can foster strong relationships with customers and provide unrivalled contextual knowledge for different public sector scenarios. It is available both as a scheduled or on-demand service with minimal waiting time.
